Giving Tuesday 2025 – Montgomery County Animal Shelter
Hey it’s Jarrett again, and this time with Harlow and Brody.
In this video, I just wanted to share the results from our “Giving Tuesday” fundraiser, and where these funds are headed.
This is the first time we have tried something like this…
… and I am blown away to announce that together we raised over $6300.
You remember Rock from the last post?
Well, we adopted him back in 2021 from Always and Furever – Midwest Animal Sanctuary, in Wichita Kansas.
Throughout the entire process…
From their initial social media post where they were raising funds to help keep him alive in those first crucial days.
…All the way to when I picked him up from an amazing foster family a few weeks later.
I saw first hand how efficient and well-run their organization is.
Raising funds is only part of the animal welfare equation; and arguably the easier part.
Having a well oiled machine with the people and processes to efficiently leverage those funds.
That’s the hard part.
Always and Furever showed my family first hand what a successful animal rescue looks like.
And that is why we chose them as the recipient of these funds.
Rockford is now 4, and everyday he adds joy to our family. His favorite thing is to fetch balls… ALL DAY LONG.
Later after the holidays, I’ll share more of his story and how Always and Forever saved his life after he was “owner surrendered” super-sick, and parvo.
Seeing how well received last week’s fundraising sale worked out…
…I’d like to try and keep it going all the way through the end of December.
So here is what I have in mind…
Over the next 4 weeks, each week, we’ll raise funds for a different non-profit that we have a connection to…
Each week we’ll drop the coupon percentage by 5%…
…but we’ll increase the fundraising portion by the same 5%.
Continuing this week…
15% of all fundraising-sales will go to Montgomery Country Animal Shelter, in Conroe Texas.
That’s where we adopted Brody from, and also where Denise volunteers to walk shelter dogs.
