We adopted two little rescues last fall - both about 1 to 1 1/2 years old. Try housebreaking little dogs in Wisconsin in the dead of winter. In January it hit -27 degrees - you can imagine how much they didn't want to go out. And, one of them suffers from submissive peeing so we have to be really gentle with her. Unfortunately, I have beige carpets throughout my house. I usually treated every accident by flushing the area with copious of amounts of water followed by a wet vac. That worked pretty well but it was a lot of work. The areas where I got lazy and just used carpet shampoo didn't fare so well. A few months ago I even bought a Bissell carpet shampooer but the stains came back. I used MyPetPeed spray and now I can't even find the two test spots where I tried it.

Having had dogs in my life for 30+ years, the house breaking weeks/months, can be quite difficult when you can't completely get rid of, not only a stain, but more importantly, the odor of urinating/defecating in the home.
